We thank H.S.H Emanuel Prince Dulgheru, 2nd Prince of Dulgheru for the honor and appointment as Count of Dulgheru.
The House of Dulgheru
We have had a deep friendship with the House of Dulgheru since 2024.
The House of Dulgheru is a noble house founded in 1910 by His Majesty King Alexandru Dulgheru, the eldest son of Princess Anna-Maria of Moldavia (born 1850) and her husband Dimitrie Dulgheru (born 1851). His Majesty King Alexandru Dulgheru was rejected by the Moldavian princes and the Moldavian nobility when he wanted to use the title Prince of Moldavia, which he was entitled to because he was the son of a Moldavian princess.
The reason for the rejection was that the biological father of His Majesty King Alexandru Dulgheru was not a nobleman, but only a commoner, and that Princess Anna-Maria of Moldova was not in a position to pass on the title of nobility to her descendants because her husband was not a nobleman. Due to this injustice and the rejection of his royal blood status, Alexandru Dulgheru founded a noble house with the name House Dulgheru, which was taken from the surname of his biological father, who had been insulted by the Moldavian nobles, because he was considered only a commoner whose descendants were not worthy to bear the title of nobility, and His Majesty King Alexandru Dulgheru refused to be called part of the House of Moldavia, along with the strong disapproval he experienced.
Dulgheru Family Clan in 1920
Alexandru Dulgheru declared himself as the King of the House of Dulgheru in 1910 and he became the head of the family for the Dulgheru clan. And everyone with the last name Dulgheru is part of the House of Dulgheru and is entitled to attach a noble title in front of their name. After the death of His Majesty King Alexandru Dulgheru in 1960, his eldest son His Majesty King Lascaris Dulgheru became King of House of Dulgheru until 1985.
In 1985, His Serene Highness Prince Mihail Dulgheru (born 1935), the first son of the King Lascaris Dulgheru abolished the title of king after his father's death and replaced it with the title Prince Dulgheru. The titles of Prince, Princess, Hereditary Prince, and Hereditary Princess are only used by heirs to the throne, while those who are not heirs to the throne or are simply members of the family and clan who have the surname Dulgheru only get the titles Count Dulgheru and Countess Dulgheru.
Currently the House of Dulgheru is led by His Serene Highness Prince Emmanuel Dulgheru (born 1967), the eldest son of His Serene Highness Prince Mihail Dulgheru after the death of His Serene Highness Prince Mihail Dulgheru in 2010.
